Re: 1996 Collector Edition Corvette
The C4's I have here have a MAF between the rubber hose and the air cleaner. Will this affect the experiment?

Re: 1979 Malibu
since you have easy access to the inside, could you drill a hole and double nut the sensor in place?
the other option to consider is if you have a pipe with a bung you could band clamp it on top of one of the stacks.
If not, then I guess we'll see you a little later today lol.

Re: Fall Carlisle 2022
It was a fun and interesting rain shortened weekend. Due to the pending arrival of the remains of hurricane Ian, my crew moved up our expected departure time on Friday to 7:15 AM and made the trek to Carlisle. After the debacle last year with PA turnpike having no toll gates and sending an exorbitan...

BP - After our recent chat about springs, here is some supporting info:
https://forums.corvetteactioncenter.com ... rt.115074/
According to the info in link above, for an 87 the correct codes for Z51 springs are BMB for the front and NYU for the rear.

This is a fun story from 1963 where somehow a Pontiac Tempest had to race against Ferraris, Porsches and Corvettes at Daytona

Re: 1990 Corvette Z51
Headlights might need alignment but they also need the "gearbox" rebuilt. We just did this on mine. There are plastic roller bearings that turn to dust over time - easy fix. I have the material you need, expect 90 minutes per side to remove, rebuild and reinstall.

Re: 1987 Corvette Z52
I think you could literally make a 1 or 2" square hole in the top, cut three sides, peel it back, and use a screwdriver or something to bust up the inners. At least if they are similar to what what was in my Camaro. Since my 89 no rewelds I assume the stuff in there is brittle

Re: 1987 Corvette Z52
FWIW the pre-cats were gutted on mine with no evidence of welding. If you have not done so already be sure to put a coat hanger or something in there to confirm those cats are still in there

Re: iRacing Champcar 2022
A little late updating here. Round 11: COTA with Mustang FR500S Still don't have this car/track really figured out. Qualified P12 of 23, got spun out lap 1 by a new driver in the league, finished P13. I protested but no action taken as ChampCar stewards with no rule book decided that careless drivin...

Re: Kuhnle/Thompson 2022 Wednesdays
Last night was odd. Everyone gets to the track, pulls into the staging lanes, then we start the sitting. Jim Curtis says we'll be delayed 15 min or so, and that turned into over an hour and a half while we waited for Kuhnle Trucking to get filmed by Fox 8. Even Jim was commenting politely on the ri...

Re: 89 Corvette Mostmint #39
Short version: • Dimmer switch is fine I have a lot of headlight bulbs with the low beam out • All fabrication is done for transmission lines • Inlet ducting straightened, cleaned, and trimmed to allow more air in • Opened up the center of the front bumper to allow more air in • Inlet ducts, shroud,...

Re: C4 Corvette LS Swap
I suppose this would be easier than cramming that V8 in the S10. It'd be a lot less work to get a crate 383 and intake like Dave's - that's my only thought on that conversion.

Re: C4 Corvette LS Swap
Interesting, not sure why I would do this instead of just getting a C5 though - unless I just decided that is what I wanted to do.
At 200 lbs lighter there would have to be something done with the suspension to get the stock ride height back.
