I've had multiple cars in my life that leaked a little, and when I switched to high mileage oil, the leak went away. Whatever crap they put in that to swell the seals does the trick. Cheap experiment...

Re: Chevelle Projects 2024
It's not real thick there, but welding over it should be easy on a lower setting. You're not welding a frame together, just plugging a tiny hole. A little spot weld would just about do it. And it's in an inconspicuous place so it doesn't even need to be pretty. No problemo.

I'd like to go, but I'll likely be working on getting the motor out of the Vette. Hope the weather is good!

Re: 1987 Corvette Z52
So we were unsuccessful in our mission to remove the pan in the car yesterday. The new motor mounts don't have enough give to be able to lift the motor up without removing the bolts from them. The bolts won't come all the way out without removing the exhaust manifolds. The pan is loose and all the o...

Re: 1987 Corvette Z52
Yesterday I took the Vette to it's first track day at Nelson Ledges. Long story short, I didn't quite finish my first 20 minute session as I lost oil pressure coming out of the carousel and the car began running a little bit rough. The theory at this point is that the stock oil pan was unable to hol...

Re: 2005 Yamaha Raptor 660
Since my last outing at Dragway 42's dirt drags, I decided I could use more power (duh). The easiest way to make substantial gains on this is a full exhaust and some carb tuning. I was leaning towards and HMF full system and really liked the way they looked and sounded, and once I found out they're ...

Re: 1987 Corvette Z52
The Z52 package comes with two electric fans. The main fan on the motor side of the radiator that pulls the air through and a secondary fan on the front side of the radiator (see picture from when I was doing the trans cooler). The main fan is supposed to turn on at 225 degrees and the secondary fan...

Did it move under it's own power? Can't remember if we talked about that... We talked about moving all her other cars so I might have lost that part of the story in my head.

I like the taller front tire. And a good driving tread pattern too.
