AMS at Mid Ohio went well. With a P18 finish I scored my first class win in that league. I was able to tailor the setup for the track, and being familiar with the track it was easy to get into a good groove with the car. With 37 cars in the field, this was the first time in this league i finished ahead of over half the cars. Also 39.2 seconds behind the leader after 40 minutes was the closest I've finished for that length race.

CCiS at VIR was not too bad. Caught a nice draft and qualified P11, about a second faster than I could go by myself. Held that spot for much longer than I thought I could. Pitted lap 12 (range was 17) to avoid carnage in the group I was racing with, but that put me back on track behind a slower group. Almost got by but the last car couldn't handle being off line and pitted me. It was a low speed corner and I didn't hit anything. This cst me about 11 seconds which was a solid four spots. Still managed P16 of 36.

Up next is Tuesday 7/21 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gW_DlrXWEqI AMS is at the street circuit on a Navy base in San Diego with the Mustangs in AMS. This track is not great. Street circuit with concrete walls everywhere and very rough. Very little runoff.

The AMS race at Coronado went quite well. I was the top qualifier in AM class, led most of the way and ended up P16 overall with another AM class win.
P16 is my best overall finish in this league. Lots of attrition due to concrete walls at every apex and corner exit. I got a lot of air time also.

Up next on 7/28 AMS is racing at Rudskogen. I've only been on this track for one prior race several years ago. It's way less harrowing that Coronado, and with it being so technical and with a fair amount of elevation change it reminds me a bit of Mid Ohio. More low speed corners though.

Then on 7/29 CCiS is racing at Bathurst. I've done very little prep for this one, though I am very familiar with the track.
