I got the driveshaft to and from Henderson this week. After some concern that they made it 1/4" longer than I wanted, we installed it today with no issues. The car runs smooth up to post 1/4 mile speeds, and is inserted into the trans a much more acceptable distance. I'm calling it good!

At the same time John's Vette was at Hutter's, so was my Vette. I was scheduled to get a final tune on the Holley computer from Trevor. He did, as usual, an amazing job making the drivability of this thing amazing. It was pretty good as it was, but he fixed the transmission shift logic, fixed the speedo, adjusted the converter lockup, reset the cooling fans to a lower temp. He also went after the fuel table and said that it was dumping way too much fuel in at the hit. He said he adjusted the spark delivery considerably too. So although the peak HP probably only went up maybe 6-7 over the base tune, the curve is now WAY better from way down low. And you can feel it everywhere from behind the wheel.
It will be interesting to see where it shows up in the ET at the track. I suspect mostly in the first few hundred feet, but that should translate everywhere.
The numbers were 285hp and 285lbft at the wheels. I guessed it would have been 295hp, but the air was absolutely terrible the day he tuned it, so those are probably as low as I would ever see. He also didn't charge me for a full tune since he said it wasn't too far off to start so it didn't require as much time as a normal from scratch tune. I thanked him for that. :D
I'm torn now for Wed night: Viper or Vette?

I'm looking forward to taking a ride in this thing.

Wait for good air to take the Viper.

I'm leaning towards that logic.

Probably going to run the Vette this Wed.
