how a carb works

So this guy built a 3d-printed clear carb and got a high-speed camera and took some neat footage..

Re: 1990 Corvette Z51

Took the Vette out to Thompson tonight and met Paul out there. I got there late and there were a ton of cars, so I only got 1 time run, but it was worth the drive: 20210623_192633.jpg 20210623_210200.jpg My tach still doesnt work, so I'm just totally launching & shifting it by ear/feel. Staging/...

Re: 1990 Corvette Z51

Well I dug into the master cylinder / brake pedal issue again tonight and made noticeable changes in pedal feel. I was able to get the jam nut loose this time and extended the rod. It felt better in the garage, but by the time I got back from a very short test drive, they were dragging badly. I made...

Re: 2019 Mustang GT

Yes it was, but there wasn't much available when we were there. I went inside to ask if that was where the Big Boy and the 844 were stored, and a lady working there told me, somewhat rudely "they were locked up and you can't see them." ... oooookkk.. the weird thing was that we found the B...

Re: 2019 Mustang GT

We were only in Cheyenne a few hours, butbut was pretty eventful.. we bought some pretty sweet hats at the Wrangler store. I was tempted to call Fred to see if he needed any boots because they had a whole herd of them. We stopped at the Cowgirl Museum, ate lunch, and then found the Big Boy in Holida...

Re: 2019 Mustang GT

So we are a week into our trip and I can't imagine a better car for this. We liked my dad's Z4 during our drive home from Florida last year, but that was a much shorter trip (3-4 days). We had thought about using it, but the lack of interior room for a small cooler, snacks, etc wouldve been a proble...

we're back!

Sorry for the offline period. I rebooted everything the day before I left town with the express plan of avoiding something like this. Something *always* seems to happen when I leave town. Anyway, the DynamicDNS didnt update properly for tiresmoke. So dumb.. anyway, thanks to Tony for stopping by Tir...

Hey Thanks again to Paul and Fred for helping me get the front end changed over in the first place. That was huge for me.

Re: 1990 Corvette Z51

Garry texted me nice and early at 8am this morning to tell me my car was done and that he'd be there most of the day. Gwen was still in bed, so I just hopped in the truck. It looks great! Probably better than when I first got it, honestly. Up close, there's still a lot of flaws on the hood, but its ...
