They're so cheap as to be tempting. That Cosworth is a rare bird. The wagon looks to be in better condition.

Yeah, Vegas is pretty cool. Lots to do. Like getting married in April :)

Oh wait, Vega's. Car forum. Nevermind.

Nice.

Vegas had some cool styling, but were a mechanical nightmare.
Alum engine aside, I've seen go-karts with bigger brakes, structural suspension components rusting out under warrantee, and
the worst dash (cheepo components and construction) that I've ever seen.

OK, I'm done.

The Vega was amazing for its' time. My dad's Vegas were inexpensive and got over 19 mpg, twice what my 1973 Buick Centurion got.
Until gas prices went up nobody cared. Time has shown us that maybe Vegas weren't that hot but smaller can be ok. :?

His dad's vegas were mint. One of them we accidently kicked into neutral & rolled into the street. The other one was a woody wagon that "we" ( most mint & I ) painted with rust oleum & paint brushes. Very fond memories of vegas for me!!!!

The last time I drove a vega, the driver's door swung open while making a right turn. Was that a standard feature?
