The forecast looks good at 61 degree high with partly cloudy skies. Definitely looking like good conditions to go fast. I'll be meeting with Mustang Kevin for food before we go to the track. If anyone is interested in getting in on this, the race is the Rainbow Babies & Childrens charity race to0. This would be a good excuse to give to your wife (if you need one) to come racing.

Yesterday, TRP was a busy place. In typical TRP fashion, everything went slowly. I was there by 10am before time runs started. By 4pm, I had only made two passes, niether of which got me the 12 second pass I've been seeking (13.28 and 13.07, both traction issues). So I went into the gambler's race just trying to get another pass. I won the first round with a .04 light, and a 13.02 on a 12.99 dial. Needless to say, I'm not planning on lifting.
Round 2 set me up against a Mustang GT running 14.40. This kid was tough, and cut an .04 light, and ran a .41. I cut a .14 and ran a 12.98 on my .99 dial. Needless to say, I lost more than one way, but once I got my ticket, I didn't care. That pass got me a 1.80 60ft, and a 103.8 mph. The whole difference yesterday was in the hole with the better burnout thanks to the new linelock, and eventually not being afraid to launch it harder.
I think I'm done racing the TA for this year, and will now start into the winter upgrades. My next goal would be a 12.50, on street tires, through the mufflers.

Other notables would be Kevin with his supercharged Mustang, running 9.88 at 138!!!! Talk about fast street cars. He drove it there, and drove it home with only a change of tires to hit his number.

Fred 32v posted a 13.29 with a full tank of gas too. Smartly he headed out after that instead of waiting four more hours for maybe another pass.

I'll post a bunch of pictures later...

Best Times

Two cars with their best times ever. Congradulations to both cars. Amazing!
Here is a video of the Mustang's best ever pass. In the last video
the right rear of the gravel pan was dragging and the left front wheel was in the air
and 10.70 was the result. After much rear suspension work, the car leaves flat
with no tire in the air, the result was an incedable 60' time on that 9.88 second pass.

The weather was right and the track was holding. Even the STS-V had its' best ever 60', 1.999.

I was out Pumpkin shopping with the family, and believe me, I'd rather been at the track.
Way to BP, in the 12s. Nice job too, Mr 32v!
