Well, Basement Paul has seen his rarest car, a 1953 Corvette (1 of 125?)

Here is the rarest car I have seen in person. 1940 Willy, 426 injected Hemi. 1966 & 1967 A/Gas champ.

There's a story here too on how I found it, if you're interested.

I'm surprised this thread is so dead.

I'll try and get some responses.

I remember back in high school hearing stories about a REAL ZL-1 Camaro in Chardon and the guy also had a extra ZL-1 crate engine in his garage too.

Or I recall a story about some prototype, 1968 or something, HEMI Dart with a one of a kind aluminum body or something.

Any of these ring a bell?

The rarest car I've ever seen, I guess, is a Tucker. (anyone seen the movie?) I don't have any pictures, but I do remember it. It had this little lever hanging off the steering column that had a conventional 4-sp manual pattern to it, but could be flicked with a finger or thumb. There was no dashboard (by design) on the passenger side, making the interior look HUGE.

This was about 1989. It was summertime and I was with my father in Michigan, who was on a business trip. We stumbled across a bunch of old cars owned by Domino's Pizza (which I think was HQ'd in Michigan at the time). They had everything from this Tucker to an Indy car that was used for special events.
