The Burton Middlefield Rotary is having a Classic Car Show and Swap meet at the Burton,
Geauga County Fair Grounds on Saturday Sept. 22nd,2007. A Show; corral; and Swap Meet.
This is for the Benefit of the Veterans Memorial.
Since this is local we should try hard to attend.
For more information see www.bmrcarshow.com or call 1-877-283-3496.
At the end of the day, they will be auctioning off a fresh, relatively late model Chevy 350 cubic inch v8. It will built by Gardner Competition Engines.
I don't know the specifics of the build, but I saw the dino numbers. This is a 350 that is 30 over. On the dino, it was making over 350hp.
It will be selling at "No Reserve". Similar displacement and Hp motors at Summit are selling for $4500.
This would go well in Tiresmoke's 1963 Vet of Mostmint's 1975 vet, or ....
See you there, pass the word.
This was a trurly great show with good weather (rained last year) and a serious turnout.
I'd guess there must have been between 200 & 300 cars. Each nicer the the next.
If you weren't there you missed a good time, here's a small sample.
Something for every interest.
Amanda's Red Cadillac powered Malibu was a show stopper.
The '57 was the color of my wife's 1st car, a '57 Chevy. Some people just like to look at Chevy II's.
The driver must have poor eye sight judging from the size of his gauges. And then all those pedals and levers.
Burton-Middlefield Rotary is going to do another Car Show and Swap Meet this year.
It was really excellent last year, I plan to attend again this year.
It will be on Saturday Sept. 20th. Check out their link, http://www.bmrcarshow.com/.
Also I purchased a HP 350 Chevy Engine built by Gardner Competition Engines.
This is a quality event for a quality charity.
If you want a shot at this engine I'd be glad to help get you one.
For you out-of-towners, I'd store it until you can get it or something.
I took the nine pictures of the Caddy powered Malibu, the 57 Chevy, the Jeep, and the Chevy II, etc.
that appears above this post. There were several hundred cars there. I couldn't post all the pictures I took.
A great show.
