The word is that we should have a good outing at TRP tonight. Looks like we will have very nice weather, and a nice group. After talking with BasementPaul last night it appears that he, Fred32v, TheRookie, myself, my neighbor Dave (97SS Camaro), and Kevin (87 Mustang) will all be present. There should be at least 1-2 tiresmoke.org cameras shooting some of the action.

I am so mad I am not there right now. The gods were against me. I had to stop at my property on the way home and discovered someone tried to break into my storage container. Had to file a police report. Some other crap too, but that part killed me.

Looks like some idiot tried to use a chunk of asphalt to break the lock. It's superduty, so he didn't stand a chance. To bad, he could have stolen a nice 68 VW convertible I am storing for a friend :)

Good luck to all as you are probably making passes as I type.

The Roadmaster posted a best of 14.64 @ 93.5mph. My best 60ft was a 2.08, and I lost bad in the 1st round to the red Chevelle shown in the pics. Anyone interested in a 14 sec street car for $2500??

I went out on my bike ('88 Yamaha Radian) and ran a best of 13.78 @ 93 MPH. 60-foot times were in the 2.0x range.

I made it 2 rounds, losing in the 3rd (semi-final). It was a bad loss too, as I was up against a quad runner dialed 2 seconds slower than me. He *stalled* it off the line. I got over anxious and had a case of "premature acceleration" and red-lighted. Since he lost his head start, all I had to do was make a clean run. Very aggravating, but still better than any day at work.

I think BP has a picture of me living up to my screenname. Hopefully he'll post it.

edit: added round-by-round recap

Round 1: dialed 13.80, ran 14.06 (.535 reaction)
Other guy ran 10.94 on 10.40 dial-in, but red-lighted

Round 2: dialed 13.80, ran 13.89 (.593 reaction)
Other guy ran 10.76 on 10.85 dial (break-out)

Round 3: dialed 13.80, ran 13.93 (.414 reaction, red light)
Other guy: ran 19.70 on 15.80 dial-in – he STALLED it off the line – I got anxious and left early. If I had won this round, I would’ve made the final and come home with a trophy. I was so mad at myself for red-lighting on a run where I was otherwise guaranteed a win.

Great pictures Tiresmoke, Thanks.
Better temperature than last time out. Low 70's to high 50's.
Only a slight improvement in my times, could not find the traction needed.
Ran a best 13.70 @ 102. No repeat of a run in the finals, went out in the third round of animal.
Kevin's 87 Stang gave me a win when he caught a RED in the first round.
Still he managed a 10.77 @ 128. My 102 didn't seem that fast when he went flying by.

Well, there was someone else with a Trailblazer SS, so your vehicle was represented. This guy must've done a few more mods, as he was running 13.30s. Impressive.

I love Kevin's launch (burnout).
Who's 97 SS Camaro is that?

That's my neighbor Dave up the street from me. 10.87 @ 123. He was in the garage as I was walking the dog earlier and said he's got a 'ticking' noise now.

Wasn't that the same guy that beat Fred32v a couple rounds later? Did Chuppa trade the 'Fringe for a Chevelle? :)

Kevin @ 10.77 and 97 SS @ 10.87 (pending the tick) would be a COOL race to watch.

I hope it's nothing serious.

I was kinda trying to get that to happen, and almost did. Dave was in lane 8 almost next to Kevin in lane 7, and I asked Fred to drive around Kevin when they pulled the lanes so they'd be next to each other, but they pulled lanes 6 &7, not 7&8. Both of them have Hutter motors, too.

Not a good night for fast cars. I found out Kevin blew a head gasket that night too.... the price of going fast.

Maybe I should edit that photo into a new avatar... :-)
