Goodby DeWalt Machine...

It was good to know ya...
Gone like a freight train..
Gone like yesterday..
Gone like a soldier in the civil war bang bang...
Gone like a '69 Cadillac..
Like all the good things...
It ain't comin' back.
Gone, Gone, Gone.

A little bitty tear let me down.

It looks like the clash of the titan revisited will have to wait for another day.

Walt, so what, if anything is going to fill the hole where the vette was?

The plan

I really like ol' Nellie Belle. So I'm thinkin' I'll probably replace her with something newer and with a few more creature comforts. I've also grown accustomed to the little four banger, so I think I might try to find another like it. They seem to be really rare, so I think the I6 will be in the future. The Vette will not be replaced. I'm sure I'll get a whole lot of great ideas from y'all so let 'em fly.

That's a bummer -- who's gonna bring a C5 to Corvettes @ Carlisle this year?

Corvette Carlisle

Really sad to hear about the Yellow car's sale. I'm sure it's for the best but still a sad moment.
What will you drive to Carlisle?
Maybe

or
http://raleigh.craigslist.org/car/342362650.html
or
something.
I wonder if Randy can drive a stick shift. Hmmm!
Actually, the truck might be a good choice. I sat in SRT-8 Jeep, wow,
but it doesn't sound like a 13 second ride is in the books.
Anyway remember, the HUNT for another ride is half the fun.
You don't have to rush, however we're all waiting to see what you come up with.

Sad to see it go. Hopefully you will still have interest in going to the Corvette Carlisle event.

Do you have any Vette parts left over? Maybe we could sell them at Carlisle.

And it looks like the STS-V is going to have a turn chasing a ghost.

What will become of all those Yellow DeWalt tools?
For your little cameo picture, I think you should replace
the DeWalt machine with a picture of that really sweet truck.

Fred32V - doesn't Heine still have one? We could have 3 red Corvettes in the group. If not we'll have to rely on the hundreds of other C5 owners to cover for us.
Ooh that's tempting. Need to clear some vehicles out of my garage first.

Nice and tempting but not enough pedals.

Since you said the Corvette won't be replaced, you probably won't be interested in this:

The shipping might kill you, but how about this:

I had a '62 Vette and probably wouldn't want another. I'm too old for the noisy buckboard ride and no power steering. The DeWalt machine spoiled me.

The 2.5 turbo diesel is very interesting. I wonder how that engine would compare to the 2.5 gas motor.

New Cameo

Thanks WXO for my new Cameo of the STS-V front-end. There are three others equally cool.
I'll change them occasionally. Also I like WXO's new image. What a sweet truck.
Wondering what it turns?
