Memory saver for disconnected battery

I finally got tired of resetting all the electronic stuff in my cars after changing batteries, so I bought this adapter: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WRNPX39?ps ... ct_details
I chose this because it connects 12 volts to the car's electrical system through the obd2 connector. I also chose it because many cars have 12 volt sockets that are not energized when the ignition is off. Obd2 connectors are in all cars (since 1996).
I tested it yesterday and used it in conjunction with my battery charger as a source and it kept the battery charged while I worked all day messing around with the power seats. This particular adapter has a cigarette lighter plug on the other end of the obd2 plug, but it can be had with spring clamps also.
