Interesting, not sure why I would do this instead of just getting a C5 though - unless I just decided that is what I wanted to do.

At 200 lbs lighter there would have to be something done with the suspension to get the stock ride height back.

With 200 lbs less motor, this would be way lighter than a C5. And easier to work on with the open engine bay. This won't happen now, but if this L98 becomes a problem later, I'll kiss it goodbye.

I suppose this would be easier than cramming that V8 in the S10. It'd be a lot less work to get a crate 383 and intake like Dave's - that's my only thought on that conversion.

I believe if it came to an engine swap, it would be because I believe an LS motor would be a more reliable powerplant given the amount of abuse it's going to receive. But hopefully none of that is necessary.
