I’ve always had visions in my head of trying to make a dual-quad set-up using QuadraJet carbs.
These dudes took it to the next level!

3000 CFM would be way too much for a normally aspirated engine of that vintage. And with the secondary setup it might have worked if there was a common plenum.

Really cool, but yeah, 16 bbls for 8 cylinders seems a bit much. Doesn't look like the secondaries are opening a lot.. But they made it work! And sometimes you just gotta have something different than everyone else. I'm sure we can all relate a little.. :-)

Way too much for that motor. A pretty mild 425 is way too small. They need 600plus CID and tons of compression and they might get closer. Cool to look at, but it's car show custom IMO.

Most interesting was the carb wouldn't had the reverb from the open/close of two cylinders on one carb.

Funny my 8 pack was too small - it was only like 600 CFM. Those carbs were tiny.

The cool thing about the QuadraJet is that you can control the secondaries and
speed them up or slow them down very easily. It could very well be that the top
secondary blades hardly open if they have them slowed down. I agree with you
guys on this, looks cool, well engineered, but a single well tuned carb can easily
do the job with their motor….. but everyone has that. NOBODY else has 4 QuadraJets
sticking out of their hood!
