NIce!! Review says it will keep things dry. That would be good if it's true.

I really like the looks of a tanneau. Had one put on my new '86 S10 Sport small cab, short bed pickup and really liked it.

I had this same cover on my Ram and it was pretty handy. Easily rolls down the side with the velcro, and latches at the end so opening and closing it happen quickly. And it's priced well. Some covers can get stupid expensive. All it is, is a fancy tarp. It's supposed to arrive today.

"OH YEAH!" has the same cover, I liked it when I saw it on BP's Ram.
It was really reasonably priced, not quite the bargain that Basement finagled.

The new cover is installed, and the bed is full... about as nice as you'd care to have a beater look.

I was able to get a good deal on a new hitch for the Ranger off the internet, installed it last week, and was able to put it to work this past weekend. Nothing shows you how underpowered your truck is than a bed full of stuff and a trailer full of a lot more stuff climbing hills at freeway speeds. But at the end of the day, we got our load to it's destination without problems. This truck is always carrying something. It's proven to be a solid workhorse.

I feel your pain.. when we did this trip, I was getting passed on the uphills of I-80 by 18 wheelers. 50mph floored.

I was able to maintain about 58-60 without kicking down more than one gear, so it wasn't too terrible, but any more weight would have killed it. I can't imagine only being able to go 50, that's crazy. I'm most worried about the trans really. It does have a cooler and the fluid is nice and red. My max towing according to the manual is 3500 lbs. I think I had about 2600-2700lbs worth of trailer weight, and probably 400-500lbs in the truck. Stability-wise, it was more than fine. If I had the 4.0, this would have been a non-event IMO.

So the Ranger is sold and this chapter is closed. It's going to a good home in Matt's dad Mike, so we'll see it around. Unfortunately for him he was put in a position where he needed a vehicle quickly (totaled his van with a deer).
It was a good little truck that performed well in my ownership. I moved a good portion of my business with it, took my deck to the dump, and hauled multiple loads of scrap from my work that made me some coin in the process. Used, but not abused, but I will definitely be able to do more work with the upgrade.

I am the new owner of this fine fine machine. I go the plates transferred today. the truck needs a fair amount of freshening up. I'll update here. It currently has 153k miles.

With Mike, that truck didn't sit much. Looks like he put around 40k miles in just over two years. I know I saw him at least 10 times driving it around. It was easy to spot with that cap he put on it. Should be a good worker for you.

The Ranger has been sold and is on to a new owner. It was starting to need. I did put a new fuel filter, MAFS & TPS sensor on it. It seemed to run better. But still needed and was a little rusty.
