Took Rachel and Elwood to Nelson Ledges. It was the track day debut of both.
After the driver meeting, Rachel and the other track day newbies received a little instruction:
Then she went on track:
The first session we just followed the instructor which was about 1:50 pace. In the second session we went at her speed at she sped up to 1:34 pace. In her first afternoon stint she improved to 1:31.88. Then I took a turn at the wheel and was able to get to 1:31.68. And for the last stint of the day Rachel took what she learned from my stint and was able to get to 1:31.63
A little video of her fast lap

I think she'd be a second faster with a seat that had some side bolster! Or just bunjee her down to keep her from sliding around. Now to learn stick shift in the race car. Awesome!

Fun thing about riding - you can take pictures of your daughter driving going almost 100 mph
