Anyone change the bushings in an HEI distributor?

I have one where the top bushing is about .010" low and I can't put the clip on to hold the pickup coil in place (the clip goes into a groove at the top of the top bushing). I am looking for ideas on how to move it.

I would consider replacing the bushings if needed.

I can't really help you out, but I have a spare HEI if you want another one to look at or swap parts with it. It is "12-second-certified."
