SERIOUSLY I have a behavioral problem. Whenever I see something I see it as it could be, not as it is. I found a 1979 Z28 yesterday and am considering offering the guy $750 for it. I would just keep it here until the wagon is done.

Guy says the passenger floor is the only rust. The passenger door is dented. He is the 3rd owner. It still has the pedals from the 4 speed. I think I'll at least go check it out.

supposedly someone stole the ECM and cut the harness. Obviously it doesn't run. So I could only offer him $2500 to $3000. Have to assume either the engine or trans is bad.

The syclone guy has come down to $3200. I'll sit tight and go for $2500 to $2750 later.

That GMC is a nightmare. In the words of Toecutter: "Just walk away!"
I recently turned down the opportunity to by my buddy's 1978 Corvette. This is a nice car that really didn't need much of anything. It only has 52k miles on it. He offered it to me for a really good price, but I decided I just needed to focus on making what I have better. And since there's barely enough time to do that, I think it was the right move. "Hello, my name is Basement Paul, and I'm a caraholic."

Paul, you make a lot of sense. I think I will do my best to follow it. I will likely be geting the parts I need to tune up the wagon and get it on the road. Once it is roadworthy, then I can look at another vehicle.
