Any N.E. Ohio tiresmokers have any auto shops they would recommend?

I don't know what you need done and its not NE Ohio, but if you want to consider shipping your stuff Fred Carello in RI does good work. He did the Maverick seat upholstery. He had the patterns for the rear seat and I removed and shipped the covers off the Camaro buckets to use for patterns. His number is 401-739-4462.

I had Cloverleaf Auto in Wickliffe do some work on the visors and headliner
on my 442 and the work was done perfectly with what I felt was fair pricing,
and it was done timely. I'm sure you can look them up on the web. I think
Smoker might be able to chime in, he knows them as well. I can tell you that,
whenever I send something out to be done, I make sure that I tell them when
I "need" my stuff back, so they don't end up keeping it for a year.

I had Gabe Lopez from California do the upholstery for my convertible. I sent the factory upholstery to him to use as templates and he duplicated it near perfect. His fit better than the factory stuff did!

I later saw him doing work for Coddington on one on those TV shows. Seems he does lots of high profile stuff.

The ironic part was that EVERY place I called in OHIO wanted 3 to 5K and wanted 6 months minimum.

Gabe wanted 5 or 6 HUNDRED and promised it in 3 weeks. (that's 1 week for me to ship it to him - 2 weeks for him to do it and 1 week to ship it back to me) so all totaled I waited a month.


At the time I had him do just the front and rear seats.

I couldn't have been happier.

It's Clover Car Care. Bob Peltz is the owner, and neighbors down the street from my parents. They handled all the interior and convertible top on the Corvette. They do good work. Probably not cheap, but shouldnt be outrageous either.

Thanks guys. Ive been keeping my eye out for certain seats for the VR. When I do see them there very expensive. Thats why I'm going the Audi route. I got to call and see if I could get a quote.
