How about on a minibike:

Or a rat rod:

Bucky: "Hey Jake I blew the flathead up in my rat rod again. you got another one?"
Jake: "Nope. But I got this here Cummins diesel I'm trying to find a home for"
Just exactly what is the conversation before you decide to put a diesel in your rat rod?
Is there a diesel powered Harley? I was afraid to look.

Mostmint gave me the link to this. Raw chase footage follows after the news report. (7 minutes)

Imagine this tagline for an ad..
"Impala SS -- it outruns police aircraft. Only at your local Chevy dealer."

You can't deny it's performance numbers, but the more I see that car, the less I like it. I give it three years...
I did love the Impala SS video. That was awesome.
Makes me want to move to Oklahoma...

Something was lost between the prototype and the production model. I guess I have some work to do to get my SS faster than the Camaro SS.

I tend to agree. Just like the 4th gen Camaro, GM engineered a far superior performing car at the expense of just good, solid, styling. Just imagine if GM and Chrysler did merge, you'd have Chrysler styling on GM hardware. That would be sweet.

That's the only thing keeping me from buying a chrysler, is that I always hear that they're throwaway junk, and are no good after 100k mechanically. I like the front drive 300's, but even those I've heard have transmission problems...

Referencing back to the Impala SS chase, the 'owner' of the clip, 9C1.us, I'm sure we all know the significance of 9C1...

Man, does that bring back memories...
I drove for Terry's Towing '76-'79, and overall it was a cool job. Dodge 350 one ton, Holmes 480 wrecker body - no hydraulics, no wheel lift, all mechanical, sling straps and 'J' hooks back then. I remember vividly, to this day, picking up an AMC Pacer (maroon, with a tan interior) from the Americana or Watergate apts at Lake Shore and E260. I had just cleared the apt parking lot, headed south on E260, and the Pacer came off the back of the truck, and plowed into an RTA pick-up pavilion, - full of people... Scared the you know what out of everyone, including myself. Minimal damaged to the Pacer, no damage to the pavilion, only doing <5mph.
Root cause- sloppy hook-up, i.e., operator error - me.
