The 2012 GM Nationals are history, but as always, we had a great time.
It was by far the smallest Carlisle we have ever been to,
so on the down side there were very few vendors, on the up side,
there was little traffic and we never had to contend with any crowds.
What was there was really sweet.

After more than 25 years of this, I can’t wait until next year.

Yesterday I brought home the Saturn parts from the anonymous donor car at Wheels of Hope. Thanks to everyone who helped get these parts to me.

I need to do my research on the engine but based on the plastic looking intake I think it's a later model engine. Some parts on the later model were better so I'll use the serial # on the block to determine the year and then figure out which parts are the "better" parts to make the car faster.

Andy, keep us informed on the Wheels4Hope engine. Maybe Wheels4Hope can use it as a public interest story to further their cause if you decide to put it in the race car. It might be a fun story for them.

Last year at GM Carlisle we were gathering in the grandstand near the end of the day Saturday and we watched a country singer and his band packing up his bus and signing autographs. Does anyone know/remember the name of this guy?
