So, in the past year, I:
1) Moved. I spent 8 years in Lyndhurst and was quite settled. Starting in early October 2007, I started moving, with Oct 15th being my move-in date. I love the new house, having a real office for my computer junk, the cavernous basement. A basement that will soon be packed with big-block snowmobiles, Hemi's, and GN interiors.
2) Got the Chevelle running, and down the dragstrip. After all the well-documented trials and tribulations, the Chevelle made it down the track several times this year, with several passes in the 12.30s @ 110 MPH. My goal with the new heads was 12.20s @ 110+, so I think the car can still pull that last tenth.
3) Changed motorcycles. This wasn't even really on the radar screen a year ago. It just sort of happened. When I saw how easily I was able to sell Tony's bike, I started trolling craigslist and found the SV. I put about 6-7k miles on my Radian in 4 years of ownership. I put over 4k on the SV, and I didn't get it till June 25.
4) New garage -- ok, this kinda goes with number 1, but there's moving, and then there's getting the garage all set up. These are two different tasks. The new garage is bigger, attached, heated, better lighting, and has full-time compressed air. This involved adding new lights, a new electrical sub panel and running some plumbing from the garage to the basement as sub-projects. I'm currently adding cable-TV and wired Internet (wireless signal hasn't been 100% reliable). The holes are drilled and wires fished, just need to hook everything up.
5) Drove the Corvette to Carlisle. (ok, a little over a year ago)
6) Rode one motorcycle to W.Va and back with 3 friends. Rode a different motorcycle solo to Virginia and back on mostly 2-lane roads.
7) Made it Thompson on I think 6 different occasions, 3 with the Chevelle, 3 with the SV. No tows home.

Mixed in with all the above, I hosted Thanksgiving & Christmas for the family, had a successful New Years party, got a $300 'education' on my birthday at Mountaineer, some Browns and Indians games, some late nights/weekends at work and have lead from the start in MostMint's poker league since January.

It's been a good year. I'm pretty lucky.
