Auto shippers
*IF* the whole Formula 350 thing happens, does anyone have any recommendations on shippers? I think I used DAS last time with the BMW. Their 'quick quote' for Raleigh to Cleveland off their website was $575 based on driving and picking up from their facilities. Pickup/drop off is extra. I can certainly call around, but figured I'd ask and it might be a good topic for the board.
Well, it may be a problem of time. This week is the first I have had off from work in 2.5 years. I am also out most of January to LA, Boston, and Seattle for a week at a time. So, unless I do a banzai drive down Saturday and back Sunday, the old fashioned way isn't going to work. Believe me, I'd prefer it.
Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. A few days ago, I loaned the neighbors my battery charger to relight the fire in the ol' bird. I expect now that Christmas is past, I should see some movement across the street. If not , I will check on it.
I have given quite a bit of thought to the idea of bringing her back home and have decided against it. So she's yours. All we gotta do is figger out how to make it happen.

My car trailer is available to help out the cause - if and when this comes together.
She's self contained - Surge brakes, mechanical wench (if the F body is secured, un-running) and straps. All you need provide is a tow vehicle with a class III or better hitch, 4pin electrical connection, and a handshake, promising ya bring her back in one piece.
She's 1750lbs empty, and figure 5000lbs loaded.
