Drag Week 2026

The registration for Drag Week 2026 opens this Saturday, Feb 21st. This year's event is primarily in Illinois. Day 4, while in MIssouri, looks to be just over the river from Illinois.

Day 0/1 Route 66 Raceway, Joilet, IL
Day 2 Byron Dragway, Byron, IL
Day 3 Cordova Raceway, Cordova, IL
Day 4 World Wide Technology Raceway, St. Louis, MO (just across the river from Illinois)
Day 5 Route 66 Raceway, Joilet, IL

But the best part is that im already registered, since i earned early registration with last year's top 3 finish!

Its 7 months away, but already looking forward to it. Im going for the class win & the bracket race win. Im gonna force Hot Rod to put me in the magazine again!

It's cool to have a fresh view via new tracks this year compared to the last couple years. And still within one days driving distance to get there.

I pulled screenshots from the videos that Scott has taken of the car launching at all the tracks. All except Maple Grove have a sign in the middle with the track name, so it's cool. I'm gonna get a frame for each year. Gwen and I looked the other night after dinner, but couldnt find one we liked.

Experiencing all the other tracks has really been a big part of the fun.

Norwalk is hosting a "drag n drive" event where they just make local-ish drives, but then end up back at Norwalk everyday.
