Tornado 2024!

Post by TireSmoker »

Tiresmoke has been offline since Aug 6, somewhere around 4:30pm. Walt got his post in on his 2008 Trailblazer about 20 minutes before we got knocked offline. Utility power was restored on Aug 11 after 8pm.

National Weather Service confirmed 4 (!!) tornadoes in NEOhio, including an EF-1 tornado along with a macroburst here in northern Geauga county. While I had a generator for the essentials, my cable internet was down. (and as of this writing, still is).

Tiresmoke Central survived without any measurable damage. Couple big tree limbs fell in the driveway, but that was it. But the amount of downed trees and broken power poles was incredible. I've lived in this area since the late 70s, and I've never seen anything like it.
