Synthetic Gasoline

This is pretty neat for old cars. For future cars, it seems the intermediate products, Hydrogen and Methanol, would be cheaper. My choice, long term, would be many, many solar-powered H2/O2 generating stations making fuel for fuel cells in vehicles.

So this seems to be yet a different process? Cool, mutliple sources that can all be refined into combustable gasoline.
