BP texted to ask if I was going? I text "No". Moments later I texted "I'm coming".
It was very warm. I was able to get two time runs in.
15.16 @ 91.39 with a .1352 light and
15.21 @ 91.37 with a .1532 light.
EVERY TIME OUT, later in the night the Jimmy has been FASTER, so I didn't want to breakout like last week.
dialed 15.10 with a .0130 light ran 15.3133 @ 92.49 mph, my competitor
dialed 14.55 with a .0355 light ran 14.7326 @ 85.69 mph. I lost the round by .0082 seconds.
I stayed to watch Paul, who survived the several rounds in Truck and I wanted another time run.
15.3500 @ 90.83 with a .0975 light.
I think I have my light figured out, now I need to better understand what the truck is thinking.
As always, TRP is great fun!

if you want consistency you may want to run the thing at operating temp / on the thermostat every time and see if that helps

I would agree with that.MostMint wrote:if you want consistency you may want to run the thing at operating temp / on the thermostat every time and see if that helps
Fred, I love your RT strategy-- Put up ho-hum RTs during time runs when everyone else can see them, and then just crush them with .0x during eliminations!

Re: TRP 08-26-20
My first two competitors were beyond mediocre. One had a .5 RT and ran almost .4 off his dial, and round 2 had a .3 RT and was over .3 off his dial. Round 3 was a black Ram dialed 15.50 and had a couple TRP win stickers so I figured he knew something at least. He cuts a .003 light to my .08. Game over. And my truck slowed down a few hundreths in the second half of the track for some reason. I ran a .38 on a .31 dial. He was .10 off his number and I think he ran it out. Margin was .04.
Oh well. Still a few rounds and still super fun.

You know you could always practice one bulb lower and know where you are consistency wise. It'll work on those who are paying attention but are not already on to the tactic!TireSmoker wrote: Fred, I love your RT strategy-- Put up ho-hum RTs during time runs when everyone else can see them, and then just crush them with .0x during eliminations!
