Yesterday, Mark had planned to stop by my work to pick up money for the tiresmoke hats I distributed for him. In our conversation, I mentioned taking the used '05 Mustang GT for a spin while he was here.
After a 120mph shot up Rt.44 near headlands beach, and a holeshot in front of his neighbor's house, neither one of us thought anything about that money when he was leaving.
Cars are cool.
Stop by again sometime Mark while we have clearer heads...

Just remember Mark, paybacks are a bitch! The way I see it, I owe you either 1) 90ft burn out or 2) 45ft burn outs right in front of your house. If it wasn't for Colleen believe me it would have been done already. Guess I'll have to wait for the van to be gone some day. (hehe)

Speaking of cool cars... last night Kevin stopped by. If some on the board don't know Kevin, he's currently made his '87 Mustang GT (once a 10.90is street car w/460rwhp), a true 700rwhp, street driven car. He stopped by with it last night and my wife asked, "Is an airplane landing in our driveway?". Keeping in mind the 704hp was rated through the mufflers, with no nitrous, on pump gas. And the car actually idles. It's pretty sick.
He got on it somewhat when he left, and I could not wipe the smile off my face. He told me that part throttle is somewhere around 500hp...sheesh.
He still has a couple small items to straighten out before he makes some runs down the track. I'm not sure I can imagine how 700 hp would feel, no to mention how the hell you would keep it straight on 10.5" tires.
Cars are cool.

How many cubic inches?
What does he plan to do with that monster? I would think he would want to run some street legal heads-up class.

The ET method = uses the weight of the car and the time it took that car to travel 1330 feet (¼ mile).
The formula is: hp = weight / (ET / 5.825)^3
So 460hp @ 10.90sec = 3014 pounds
Now let's use 700hp and 3014 pounds = 9.5 seconds ET

I know that he certainly plans to be in the 9's somewhere, with hopes to maybe hit the 8's someday and still drive it on the street. There's still more potential in this car too. He's currently running about 15-16lbs of boost with 82lb injectors! This setup is good to handle 20lbs of boost which is where they thought it would be when the system was put together. That being the case, 800hp was the target. 
The motor is somewhere around 350 CID, and I believe it's still making more torque than HP.
I'd say Matt's 9.5 quarter mile time - pending traction, should be pretty accurate. From talking to him, I'd say he'd be dissapointed if it wasn't in the 9's. And if it turned out it wasn't fast at all (as if), it still sounds so wicked, that it probably wouldn't matter.
