I've got a four foot Fat Max level that we can use. It's in my garage if you need it before I get there.

I'm trying to see if Stanley will change their product line to FATica MAX......but have not yet been successful.

Gotta run. Chris Perez has a condo in Rocky River that he wants to sub-lease to me. Cheap. With excellent Fed Ex delivery.

You forgot to mention that Hell froze over and the Browns beat the Ravens the day the lift was installed.

This has not occurred since 2007...roughly the same time that your 406 first froze/started giving you problems. Coincidence? Doubtful......but I bet whatever force put a curse on that motor has finally lifted it!!!

And technically, you ARE done yet!!!

I was thinking about our lifting feet blunder... You could always just back the truck on there if it doesn't clear the door. Or switch the front legs on the lift with the back legs and back on all the time. Just some thoughts.

I did have fun and it was cool to see our efforts come together.

It's positioned perfectly with the Chevelle on it. There's just enough room behind the car to the door to be comfortable but not wasteful -- meaning I'm pretty sure I could have a vehicle parked behind the lift without interfering with the car on the lift. I haven't tried the truck yet, but I'm not gonna worry about it. Backing the truck in, if necessary, seems a lot easier than changing the arms around.

Fun fact: the old red truck (shortbed) had an overall length that was probably within an inch of the Chevelle. I never measured it, but eyeballing them side-by-side when they were in the front garage was surprisingly close.

I had a very productive, enjoyable day in the garage today. I got my toolbox moved out there, right next to the cabinet that Gwen bought me. I also got some tunes installed. I took out my old Pioneer receiver and Yamaha speakers that I got sophomore year of college. Speaker boxes have water damage and look a little crappy, but they work/sound fine. The tuner works great and I've got a cable to plug in my ipod.



My sister came over with her '07 Charger and we installed her Blizzaks. I've had a lot of grief in the past with the original lug nuts on this car, but in the spring, we (I) bought all new lug nuts from the stealer ($$$) and this was the first time the wheels came off the car without an issue. And all 4 wheels in the air at once. I cracked open a brand new bottle of never seize for the wheel studs. My third bottle ever, so I'm now going on the assumption that 1 bottle = 10 years. The rest of the job went very smooth, lugs torqued to 110 ft/lb.



Next up was Gwen's '07 Fusion which I pulled in for an oil change, air filter, and a tire rotation. Everything went like clock work.

Later, I pulled in the my '00 Silverado and changed the oil on that. The front brakes have been feeling crappy for a while and the rotors are looking pretty nasty. I'll probably do those soon, as I will probably be driving this semi regularly over the winter. I had never been under my truck before and I'm really pleased with how clean it is. I dunno if all 4x4s have the skid plates, but this one does and they're pretty substantial, I was impressed.

I also got the covers on the Corvette and Mustang.



At the end of the night, I gave the lift a good wipe down from all the installation dirt/dust, smear marks, etc. It's really amazing the amount of utility you get out of this thing. Soooo happy with the end result of my building.
