Re: 2007 Mini Cooper S

TURBO! Paleez. I would NOT buy a normally aspirated Mini Cooper. I'm on a fine line of manliness as it is.

Re: 2007 Mini Cooper S

She really likes it. She hasn't had a chance to drive it yet, but I expect that will happen this weekend. Once I get the original taillights back, I'll determine whether to keep the aftermarket ones in there, or put the stockers back in.

And I think if you show up around 6:15-6;30, you'll still get a couple passes. The weather doesn't look too good though as the day progresses.

Re: 2007 Mini Cooper S

We met at a Chase bank which was conveniently located right by the license bureau so notary and temp tags were super easy to get. All in all, a good buying experience. The seller forgot to bring the stock taillights with him to give me, but will be dropping those off at MostMint's place this weekend ...

2007 Mini Cooper S

So I've been looking lately for a small car that would be entertaining and still fit in the smaller parking area of my garage where I've been keeping the quad. A quick measurement said I had about 18' total, and I have to be able to parallel park it in that space, so I figured I needed something ...

Re: 1991 Jaguar XJ-S

I expect it will take hundreds of miles and several months of gravity to chill those springs out to their natural height. A couple bags of ballast while it's sitting or even during your next few drives would speed up the process. I never once doubted your ability to tackle this project, but damn ...

Re: KMP Wednesday Night Grudge Racing

I went there with low expectations for the management, and they were able to maintain that expectation. Not a big car count, but super slow getting in the gate and running the program. The positive is that the track was at least pretty good. My truck was consistent, but the new christmas tree and ...

Re: 2009 Shelby GT500 Convertible

Less than two hours from start to finish, including the test drive and clean up and the new coils and plugs are in place. And the verdict is in: FIXED The car seems to run better than I ever remember, but some of that might just be between my ears. The new Motorcraft coils are allegedly a ...

Re: 2009 Shelby GT500 Convertible

It's been a long time since I posted on this car, and that's been great. The top almost never goes up during the summer, although with the spring we had, it took a long time before the top came down. On Saturday on my way home from working on the Vette I stopped and got gas in Chardon at Sheetz and ...

Re: 1987 Corvette Z52

The majority of yesterday's work was dedicated to getting the Lokar throttle cable in place. It took a solid two hours just to get it in place under the dash. I used the plastic sleeve, sacrificed from the original cable assembly, to get it attached to the pedal. Then it was a solid two man effort ...

Re: 1987 Corvette Z52

The Badger is right. But he's not accounting for my hatred of getting a new phone. I just hate the whole process. Ugh. I have the same hatred for new glasses, but I'm due for those too.
