Re: C6 Corvette

It looks like a nice bike replacement. The oil leak may be as simple as snuggling up the pan bolts. These things do not leak.
It's funny that when we're older, we like to say how good the mileage is, and when we're younger, we liked to say how bad the mileage is.
Any plans for any performance ...

Re: 1963 Corvette

Looks good sitting there in the grass! Looked good under the hood too. If you had the top up, it wouldn't have rained at all... Glad you made a successful journey. You did a lot to get it to that point. I'm sure it was a pretty emotional trip.

Re: C6 Corvette

Is this a motorcycle replacement, or just an addition?

Re: 1987 Corvette Z52

Last weekend got the Y-pipe removed and welded up. It has not been reinstalled yet. The fuel pump was also pulled out and about seven gallons of the old fuel drained out to make room for some more fresh stuff when the time comes. The new fuel pump (255lph) will be installed and the Y-pipe also at ...

Re: 2020 Ford Ranger #55

Been awhile since my last Ranger post. The lowering kit is still in the garage, but I have Camaro Bob lined up to do the install probably in the next few weeks. I got the 18" chromes mounted to my new 275/55-18 tires awhile back too, but was hoping to put them on when it was getting lowered. That ...

Re: 1987 Corvette Z52

Yesterday we took to making an exhaust system that would function with our "new" combination. The headers I bought, although stock replacement for the LS1 exhaust manifolds, still exit towards the rear between the 3rd and 4th cylinders VS the original motors center drop which also went straight down ...

Re: 1987 Corvette Z52

So as I get older, I realize that my eyesight is not what it used to be. Especially up close where wearing my glasses actually makes it harder to see. I was thinking about the shifter not having a hole OR a groove, and thought that was crazy, so I took another look this Saturday (with my glasses off ...

Re: 2005 Yamaha Raptor 660

Over the winter I decided the Raptor needed even a little more gearing to help it launch a little easier in 2nd gear, and also to be at the top of 3rd gear at the lights making it so I only have to shift once. This is based on my terrible showing at the North / South race last fall. So I dropped the ...

Re: 1987 Corvette Z52

I'm thinking that's what they had on there based on the marks on the stud. Since I beat on it more than a normal human, I would feel better with something more positive. For normal function, I think that would probably suffice though.

Re: 1987 Corvette Z52

It's been awhile since I posted, but things are slowly happening. Currently the heater hoses are all hooked up, the new swiveling water neck is installed, and the lower radiator hose is in place. That required a cut in the straight part of the hose, and an aluminum sleeve to bring it together, but I ...

Re: Tire Changing Machine

Rabbit hole indeed! It does look way better. It also shows how tough these machines are as it was probably never maintained since it's in-service date back in '95ish. I'm sure it did not have an easy life before I got it.

Re: 2010 GMC Acadia - Mostmint #48

Not sure I would put 5000 lbs on THAT hitch. LOL And the lack of codes was probably just because the battery was dead for some period of time. I like your idea of using it for the winter though. The Caddy is clean...
