Re: 2003 S-10

Yesterday dad dropped by to help me put the hood on. I got the grill installed too, and topped off the transmission fluid. Trevor at Hutter's wanted the drag radials on it for the dyno runs because the street tires just don't grip enough, so I swapped my new set on too. I took it for a quick run aro...

Here's what it sounds like:

Definitely better with speakers than with a phone.

Re: 2003 S-10

I spent some time most evenings this week, all day Saturday, and a few hours today, but the S10 is alive again! The only issues I had were a leaking tranny line at the radiator, and a plastic conduit around a plug wire that was touching the header that melted. Everything else was just a part of the ...

Re: 2019 Mustang GT

In it's current stock form, this car will make an amazing daily driver and a perfect replacement for the Cobalt. It's easy to drive and super fast, but also rides well and is mostly quiet. Once it's in the rpms it pulls like a monster. And I'm guessing the drivetrain will last a long time. Plus it's...

Re: 2003 S-10

This weekend I put in about 10 hours getting the engine back in place. Fred helped me on Saturday for about 6 hours muscling the motor and trans together. The rest of the time today was just putting the rest of the bellhousing bolts in, getting the torque converter bolted up, and installing the star...

Re: 2003 S-10

The motor is done and I should be able to pick it up this week. They were running it on the dyno the last few days chasing an oil leak but they're convinced they've got it fixed. Numbers on the stand are 547hp from 6300 to over 6600rpms, and 500 lbft at 4600. This is the more significant number as i...

Re: 1978 Lincoln Continental Coupe

Sorry to hear about the health problems and the selling of the Lincoln. This is an awesome car and I'd love to have a cruiser like that, but I think my huge car days are over. That sweetheart takes up a TON of real estate. But I believe you won't have too much trouble selling it as clean and cool as...

Re: 2008 Cobalt SS

Have you had the air bag light diagnosed? For me, that would be a big concern before I bought a used car.

Re: 2020 Ford Ranger #55

The Ranger got it's first wax job with dad's help today. I also gave it a 1000 mile oil change and switched to Mobil 1. I topped off the tank and got just over 22 mpg this tank too. Eventually I'll do a fluid swap on the rear differential to synthetic also. I also noticed the exhaust system looked p...

Re: 2003 S-10

Yesterday I dropped off some parts to Hutter and got to see the short block all assembled. Should be together next week sometime and if I'm lucky, it might get on the engine dyno too.
