Well I have a new project. I picked up a Power Wheels Fire Rescue Jeep out of Craigslist for $40. It has 2 batteries but wouldn't move, the horns worked but no motion. I got it home and put a volt meter on it. The 2 12volt batteries measured 5 and 3 volts. So I put a known good battery in it and it roared to life.

That is COOL!!! How about a car alarm?? I put on one my boat just for fun. Not the system, just the alarm on a toggle switch.

Actually a siren would be cool. They also have a remote kill switch I might look into too.

More is better. More volts!
Dan started on a Power Wheels, maybe at three. It was a Kawasaki ATV. After two batteries, and a failing gearbox, we made the jump to gasoline.

Well alot has happened. I have so much Power wheels stuff going on I might have to start various threads. I'll start with a small primer here. After putting 24volts to the Fire Jeep Alex did a single "Endy" thanks to a downhill. a root and a small pothole. So the 24volts came off the Jeep and onto the Dale Jr. race car. After about 20 minutes the heat/voltage was more than the little motors could bear. So I have have been reading up on new motors and gearbox swaps. I'll update in the other threads when I get around to pictures and new threads.

Does the car have a lower center of gravity?
