Looks like you'll have that rig ready for our Annual trip to Carlisle,
next year to the 2008 All Truck Nationals, August 8th, 9th, and 10th.
Love the White, same color as my '00 Ranger. When we park them together,
it will look like father and son. :D

Sounds GOOD. We'll be driving it up for X-mas actually. Maybe I can use the 4x4 if it snows.

Looks good, and that's cheap too for a deflector. For as much driving as you do, that's a good addition.

That price was from the dealership too. BELIEVE it or NOT.

I have some other cheap mods on order already.
Just wait.
They won't make it faster but cooler I think.

Today's MOD was getting the front windows tinted. I believe the back windows are 20, so I had the fronts tinted 32 (GA law from my understanding). The tinting guy suggests getting the windshield done (50, very light) to keep the UV out he says.

I'll get some pictures tomorrow.

FINALLY another MOD. K&N series 63 intake kit.

I have to drive to Nashville this week. I'll let you know if it helped the mpg.

I'll also get some actual installed pictures when I can.

oooohhhhhhhh.....

It sounds sweet. Image

HOWEVER there are 2 new problems.

1. It makes my right foot heavier during acceleration.Image

2. It makes the exhaust sound weak. Guess headers and cat back are next? Stainless works? We'll see.

Well I'm not sure it helped the gas mileage. I averaged around 16.5. Now granted I did the driving around town as I had probably 100# in catalogs and 75# in sample product in the bed of my truck. But it sounds cool.

not really mods

Well the front brakes started squeaking and was told to use oem pads ($120), so I bought DuraLast Golds from AutoZone $40. Probably the easiest install EVER.

It also needs tires so I have been looking around, talked to Andy and finally found a solution. Since money is tight I found these on craigslist. 4 like new Dueler Alenza's 265/70r18's for $200. They appear to be as claimed, new takeoffs with under 100 miles on them. The OE tire is a Dueler A/T RHS 265/65r18. I really didn't care for them much.

$200 seems like a really good deal. Gotta be about half new. For Hotlanta, I like the less aggressive tread pattern too. They'll be quieter and probably handle a little better.

They are like $170 each new on Tirerack.com. I really wanted an AT tire for the looks but these were too good a deal to pass up.
