Here ya go, some video goodness.
One lesson I've learned -- new engine, new tune file. When we first went to fire it yesterday, I was pretty frazzled, I hadn't really prepared to actually start it that day, so we mucked around with the zz383 tune, changing the engine size, but keeping most everything else. It took a bunch of farting around, including starting fluid to finally get it running, then took throttling to keep it running until I could get some auto-tune going to help out.
The video you see today was after 1) getting some sleep! 2) generating a new VE table, and just slowly going through and changing some key startup settings like the cranking fuel. It started and ran (very rich) on the 2nd attempt, I was able to adjust the idle area real quick to sorta even it out, let it get some heat, and this video was the next startup after that. It felt like "wow, i kinda know what i'm doing here!"
I'm pretty excited..
