TRP - AUGUST

Post by Basement Paul »

There are two Sunday races in August... the 8th (ford vs GM), and the 15th (rock n roll capital street machines). I may try to do both, but I'd definitely like to get a bunch of us to go to at least one of these.

Anyone interested?

Yea, I still need to bring out the Imppy, and see how close I get to 17.5s...
Keep me in the loop.

I'll try to be at the Ford vs GM, just for the fun of it.

I can't make the 15th, but I could probably make the 8th with the SS.

Chardon options - Maple Leaf, Spinners, or New York Deli... you guys pick. 9AM. I would say Spinners would probably be best.

Pretty sure they don't do the buffets there anymore. But if you guys want to meet there anyway, I'm down. 9AM Sunday at the Maple Leaf sound OK?

If they had the bacon buffet, I'd be partial to the Maple Leaf. If they don't, it doesn't matter to me where we go.

None of them have good service, but I think the food is a little better at Spinners. Let's shoot for Spinners at 9.

The Annual Ford vs GM Meet at TRP is always a good time.
It seems to have become BP's personal playgorund,
since he has several trophies from this particular event.
Early arrivals.......................coming late...................ready to race

I went red in the 1st round, don't you just hate that.
My best time of the day was 13.35 at 104.19.
Fast87 in 1Flat66 had BP covered in the very 1st round
but was .002 too fast and BP advanced.
After 5 rounds there were only two, not a Ford in sight, only Olds power.
Last two standing....................Glamour shot.................Trophy Label

For you Tiresmokers that could not be there, here is a video of the Money Run.

As usual, a day at TRP is ALWAYS Fun!!!

Here's a couple shots of the action. The caddy was a little too fast for my camera, but I was able to hold onto the Mustang in action. And a victory shot at home in the garage.

So what does that '66 Stang run? Looks like a pretty good launch.
