1999 Buick Regal GS

Look quick because the posting will be gone soon. This is my newest ride for back and forth to work.
This is a nice '99 Regal GSE with only 72k miles and every option you can think of. My wife asked why I bought such a "normal car".
She asked what the catch was and I told her it was supercharged...
This car actually looks better in person, than it does in the dealerships pictures.
On the way from the dealership in Brunswick, I averaged almost 28mpg. I could have gotten 30 I think, if I would have left that 300C alone...

My T-bird is being sold to a coworker as of this weekend, so I was going to need a daily driver pretty quick.
The GSE seemed to be a nice compromise between luxury and performance.
It doesn't handle as nice as my T-bird, but going straight down the road,
it rides a little better, and is quiter inside. Not to mention its faster, and gets better mileage.
I'd rather have a RWD car, but if you want something newer, you need a Mustang, Camaro type car, or buy a Lincoln Town Car...

I only have a few minor mods planned for it, but not before I give it a regular tune up and once over.
Should be a nice ride for a couple years.

Another fun evening with one of my boys. Party, party, party. Do the deal!

Then we topped the 150 mile round trip off with a stop at the
Steak and Shake for a late night burger and discussions on why this was THEE Right car.

Nice car. Low mileage, loaded, and pressurized induction.
According to the 'Smoker', you may find it difficult to keep you foot 'out of it'. Better ride, less gear than the Smokers, but what the heck, it's only temporary, right?

BTW, I think this puts you in the lead for most cars owned. Bummer.

Good find. 72k miles, $5k -- three years ago, I paid $4k for my Pontiac with almost identical miles, but it had a few minor issues (driver's window didnt work, exhaust , DMX cd stuck in 3rd-brake-light)

I see this vehicle surviving till at least the end of summer. That makes Mostmint the only Cossick without a supercharged vehicle.

Regals may corner like trucks, but when they are ahead of you by a half a mile or so, they can corner slowly & still win!!

Sadly, MY truck will out autocross the SS, and I'd put a cheeseburger on that. Most FWD cars plow like an interstate salt truck and a big V8 out front isn't going to help that problem.

As far as how fast it will go in a straight line, I guess I'm not that concerned about that. I'll modify the airbox and put a K&N filter in it (yeah, K&N!), and have the exhaust done, at least to get rid of the U, but that's about it. GMJohnny's exhaust is way too loud for me driving back and forth to work, I'll want it quiet inside under normal driving.
It's already a lot faster than what I'm driving, and gets better mileage too. That's about all I'm looking for. Not to mention it's a nicer car all around than the bird...

Skidpads are round and steady, where autocross courses require a change of direction which is a big difference. Not much body roll on the S-10... Lane change tests are a better determination, or the figure eight test some magazines do. I've only read one "test" of the ZQ8 suspension about 10 years ago on a GMC, and all they did was drive it, but didn't have equipment hooked up.
Either way, I'm pretty confident with my cheeseburger bet...

If we are going to worry about going on skidpads & straight lines in the same conversation, I think I have one that will do both well, & it is not a Buick, but it is black & a GM product.

Pretty sure you'd have him covered on a road course. Particularly autocross course which tends to have short straights.
