So far, the weather is looking good. Partly cloudy, mid to upper 70s.

Sorry so late....

Finally.... 12.98 @ 102. Made no modifications since last week. Maybe it was the tail wind...
Also, won Animal. No by run. Went 4 rounds on top of 4 time runs. I don't have the slips in front of me, but .05 reactions were common.

My second time run was 18s at 54mph. Car hooked and left fine, but as soon as I hit second, it spun hard, and got a bit sideways. Scared me pretty good. Typical TRP traction issues.

Round one was against a blue Nova, a suedo Yenko, (an inner city car...) He dialed 9.4 something, and went high 10s. I was on the brakes.

Round two was the same big block red Chevelle that beat me last week. She dialed 13.34 to my 13.06 and we left at the same time. Her reaction was .2 something. I pulled on her all the way down, eventually putting three car lengths between us. I lifted and won.

Round 3 was against some 30's, 11 second pickup with 6 carbs. He had a .5ish reaction time. I lifted again.

Finals - round 4 Against a 10.90 Pinto. Nice guy. We chatted while cooling down, and shook hands prior to the run. He spun at the line, and his 60 footer was .15 off his normal. Again I lifted at the big end.

All runs were 13.teens and twentys. Eventually, I'll have to run her full out...
$50, trophy and a sticker. I'll take it!

I will NOT be racing July 16th.

Why we do what we do.

Great to see all the winter work paying off with 12's.
Winning Animal on the same night, just makes it all the sweeter.
$50 is just $50, but that sticker, priceless.

Woo hoo! You finally made it into the 12s -- and to win Animal on the same night, that's great! Andy or I will let you know the secret handshake since you're now a member of the club! :-)
