Would have been nice if I could have got into the powerband. Powerband is about 5500-8500. The dust is like driving on flour or talcum powder.

I'm not sure if I took a breath the whole time... That was completely spectacular. As I drove through our development the other night, practicing my drifting technique in a snow storm, and thinking I was pretty good, I see a guy like this to show me what a clown I really am behind the wheel. Damn.

I think that fellow has done that a few times before.
Talk about giving your tires and equipment a trashing.
How do you get a job like that? Amazing!

WOW.
It is impressive. Lots of dust flying. The loop 'd loop going thru the building was neet. And... the guy on the Segway, has some brass you-know-what...
I'm at work watching this, and the volume is up. No headset. Guys in the next cube are looking over the top....
The Sub flat four only sounds decent over 5grand.

I'd like to know how he does it without cracking a smile. A couple times you see his face and he looks like most people do when they are just driving down the highway on the way to work

Driving/Sliding

Post by Racin'Jacin »

Reminds me of when I worked for the Pizza Shop and had to drive the bosses car to make deliveries. I was BROOTAL on that poor V6 - I remember when the oil light came on after a certain 360 degree off ramp and wouldn't come back on for quite a few minutes - I was crappin' my pants thinking I actually ruined the motor. Being a "sport" I mentioned that I saw the oil light "flicker" and maybe they ought to check into it. Yeah it was flickering alright - suuuuure!!!!! The funny part was a week later - the bosses son-in-law who did her maintenence - he was telling me when he went to change the oil - he drained just enough to fill an aspirin bottle - that's ALL that was in there!! A week earlier I was drivin' like a maniac. Man those were good times!!!

The Block video is just dumb, IMO. It's interesting eye candy but it's got little to do with motorsports. It's all just shameless self-promotion.

Speaking of which:

Mud bog, Puddingcross, whatever you want to call it, you can't call it fast.

I have a hard time explaining to people that yes, this kind of stuff is actually fun.

A rebuttal of the Ken Block thing:

No practice, just a low speed reconnaisance so this is really the "first shot"...

How good are you driving in reverse when you've got a 6 point harness and a HANS on?

Okay I'm done now :)
