Post by Fred32v »

Spring Carlisle is April 19th-23rd,2006. Tentative plans are for Walt from Raleigh and Me from Munson to travel to Carlisle Thursday afternoon. That way we will be able to hit the meet hard Friday am and Saturday am returning home Sunday am. Similiar to 2005. I'll book reservations sometime in January as things become clearer, let me know if your in. It'll be great fun!

Spring Carlisle 2006

Post by Fred32v »

Now that the holidays are behind us, it's time to concentrate on even more important events. Like Spring Carlisle!!!! I've booked two rooms at the Howard Johnson, where we stayed the last several years, for Thursday April 20th, Friday April 21st, and Saturday April 22nd. We'll return Sunday morning after breakfast. We had ten guys in our group last year. More would make this even more fun, let's encourage some new folks to join us. Start making room in your schedule now in order to avoid conflicts later.

As further enticement, please remember the fine quisine that we experienced at both breakfast and dinner. Also, I would like to mention that the rooms are 125.95 each per night, down from the 129.95 that we paid last year.

OK - just got the green light for this event. I'll make some calls to figure out who is going when.

It appears as though I will be driving up.

The issue is to drive 12 hours to Newbury and then to Carlisle or just go 10 hours direct to Carlisle?

I'm driving up Thursday night after work. Who wants to race to Carlisle?? I'll probably bring the truck, but the Camaro gets better mileage, and I might have to spank another mid 90's Camaro when I get there, so I'm not sure...

Howard Johnsons called to confirm our reservations. I acknowledged we wanted 2 rooms Thursday night, Friday night and Saturday night. Do we still need two rooms Thursday night? When will you be arriving. So far looks like Walt, Paul, and I will be there for sure Thursday night. Once you have decided when your coming and who you'll be with, let me know.

The blown Pontiac has new brakes, fresh oil, a re-juvenated K&N (yeah, K&N) air filter, and a coat of Rain-X. Locked & loaded.

Sweet.

Does it have speed rated tires? Not that we would need them of course.

CD player? I have the new Nickelback. Not sure if it will be allowed since they have a Ford on the CD case cover and a Chrysler on the back.

Need a radar detector?

John is going with Fred32v and so we won't have a full boat
