Total Solar Eclipse

Post by Maverick »

Looks like you NE Ohio guys will see a total solar eclipse.

I saw one in Michigan in 1963 or 1964. We rigged up a pin-hole camera, mirror and screen and took Polaroids of it. Hope you have clear skies.

There was one that went through Nashville like 5-6 years ago I was able to catch as I was headed there for work. Plane landed about 30-40 minutes before the eclipse - people were already finding their place in the airport (skylights) to see it. I didn't quite make it to the office so I just pulled over into some parking lot. Someone there had an app that gave a countdown to the end of the total eclipse and it was spot on.

I'm in the zone where my house will get a full eclipse.

Early April is not too likely to be clear, but we shall see!
