1978 Corvette

Post by GMJohnny »

My old neighbor has a 1978 Corvette that was stored for many years. The car reportedly has under 8,000 miles on it. It’s really clean and they’ve had a garage replace all of the hoses, rubber brake lines, etc. and that wasn’t an inexpensive proposition. The only real issue is that mice got into it and (even after a professional steam clean) the interior is pretty stinky. He has no idea on value, but I’d like to help him figure it out. It looks like the rear trans seal started to leak and the rear main has a few drops under it as well. Any idea on a good place to get the car value? I believe it will soon be for sale and if someone on TireSmoke was interested, I’d help facilitate a sale.

Thanks, WXO…..

I’m wondering how people feel about the fact that the interior
stinks like mice. It looks like $500 would get a decent carpet
kit, but would that cure the issue completely??
