Heads Up Racing...

Post by Basement Paul »

Ok, so I got spanked by the Dodge, but I'm thinking we should set up a few more Cheeseburger Challenges over the next couple months as prime racing weather approaches...

For instance:

Amy's Saturn vs. Colleen's Van
S-10 vs. 442
El Dorado vs. Roadmaster Wagon
Beretta vs. Lumina

Feel free to add to the list, because after I buy Mark his cheeseburger, I'll be ready to do it again.

We should also add some rules into it. Maybe best two out of three, heads up. Or just best time for the day...

I'd be up for that.

But I think my Beretta is too much for the Lumina.

Beretta vs. Dodge pickup?
Beretta vs. 442?

Beretta and Lumina have the same engine and the Beretta has to be one or two hundred pounds lighter.

Of course we already know what the Lumina can do.

I think Dave is making fun of how slow your Lumina is. I'd make him prove it to you heads up.

I think the Lumina / Dodge Ram / Beretta should all go heads up in a Cheeseburger triangle...

Are you each gonna buy me a cheeseburger? I'll make sure to skip lunch that day.

I think the Dodge already knows he can't beat the Lumina - unless he has made some performance mods. You are just stirring up trouble. Oh yeah, as it stands now that Lumina could eat your Ford alive. That would mean my slowest car could eat your Ford alive.

The Lumina will kick my you-know-what, but not by much. Proven fact....
However, I'm game for 2002 Grand Caravan 3.3 S-P-O-R-T, to the plastic bodied GM product.

Predictions - Dodge Caravan 17.8, to a Saturn 17.1 if V6, -OR- 18+ if I4.

The Saturn is the Ecotec motor, but no way it's slower than 17.50s.

And the Mopar ran 16.8's Andy, I think that's faster than your Lumina and Mark didn't even take out his spare tire....

And I don't think the Beretta would be any faster than 16.6's...

How about some hadicaps for the Beretta, like a full tank of gas or something like that?

So will the 25th of Sept be put up or shut up time? Sooner? I'm thinking that van will be mid to low 17's...
