Might be fun to run my Cobalt there.. :-)

Wilmington appears to be near I-71, closer to Cincy than Columbus.

Here's a video of some starting line action(?) at Maxton, NC, the former home of the ECTA.
Not quite as exciting as TDR.

The VR maybe.
I just thought it was cool to have a top speed thing kinda close. I get it that its not much of a spectator sport.

If there is any interest in the ETCA’s OHIO Mile in Wilmington, Ohio, I would be glad to arrange for motel accommodations.
ETCA is planning four events this year.
April 28-29 Hot Rod Mag Challenge, June 2-3, July 7-8, September 29-30 Bikes

To become a member it costs $50, to compete in an event, the entry fee is $200.
Spectators $10 a day or $15 for the weekend. Be sure to bring your lawn chairs.
For me, I think I would just spectate the first year to better understand the environment.
I like the June or July dates; I’m cruising the Caribbean in April, and would avoid the bikes in September.
The meets are Saturday and Sunday, but we should arrive Friday to get settled. Then would we stay all day Sunday,
leaving Monday morning after breakfast?
I was able to find out everything I needed on their website, http://www.ecta-lsr.com/.

I’m not absolutely sure which meet June or July I could attend, but if you are interested let me know your preference
and I'll see what I can arrange. :?:

I'm kinda interested.. June or July would probably be best, and at this point, I have no real preference.

Not sure of exactly what I'm doing that weekend, but if it can be worked out, I'd like to watch those 2 days.
Let's see what is happening when we get closer.

I'm watching what Fred does. If it looks like enough of you will spring for the $200 to run, I might consider the long drive back up into your neighborhood.
