AWW, I just hate to wait to get to the track if the car is ready. I hope Jim can get a lot of runs in. We sometimes are lucky to get 3 to 4 runs at a test and tune. Its amazing how many cars can show up for a test and tune. I hopemthat maverick screams

Car will probably be about 3200 lbs with me in it. 5.0 roller engine, stock HO cam, E7 heads with light porting, 600 CFM Summit carb, Edelbrock Performer intake, shortie headers, 2.5" exhaust pipes, Thrush Turbo mufflers, 2.25" tail pipes, HEI distributor, C4 auto trans, stock converter, 3.00:1 Traction Loc, LakeWood Traction Bars, 205/70/14 street tires. Oh yeah, and a driver that attempted (broke a U-joint on the 1-2 shift) one pass on a 1/4 mile track over 50 years ago. Winner gets all my winnings for the night.

Hmm.. that's a tough one. Even though I've never seen it run, I'll assume it could go in the 14's in the 1/4. So, lets guess 9.25 in the 1/8. I hope it will be faster. MPH would probably be about 82 to 84. If its higher it means you aren't hooking at the start. That could be a problem with street tires, but with the 3.00 gear and stock (i am assuming) converter you might be able to come out without much spin

What track do you go to race? How far from home? I"m going to be jealous to be jealous, you guys have so many tracks down there. Its a minimum 2 hour drive for us.

I went with WXO twice to an 1/8th mile track near Benson http://www.na-motorsports.com/Tracks/NC/DunnBenson.html to run his now-deceased Camaro. That's where we'll go. If there's a week when you can come down, COME ON DOWN!!! If we can't rearrange plans we can go again. Or maybe try a 1/4 mile track.

I believe Rockingham has a 1/4 mile track and I know there's one near Lowes Motor Speedway.
