Transmission should bolt up, both mechanically, and electronically. So in theory, there's nothing to do there at all.

Should be fun when it's done. I'm hoping it's not the nightmare that was the TubStang.

Sounds like my parts won't be here until later next week. I might dig into removing the engine over the long weekend though. Plus some project organization is in order.

Didn't really do much to get the motor out yet. LS is on the stand and cleaned up though. My parts are scheduled to arrive on Monday. I have a lot going on with my eBay biz right now too, which is slowing the project down. Luckily, I'm not in a huge hurry. I'll pick at it all winter if I have to, but hopefully things will relax a little over the next couple months. I'm also hoping with all these parts, that I won't have to engineer too much, and I can just get it in the truck.

More to come.

Besides all this stuff, I also got basically a whole new A/C system including a relocation bracket, compressor, lines, pressure switch, and dryer. The radiator assembly will be a bit of a pain to install, but hopefully not too insane. I'll start on the removal this weekend.

Over the last couple weeks, 32V and I have removed a bunch of stuff from the S10 and the motor is getting pretty close to coming out.

I've also got some information from Hutter Performance about getting a cam swap done on the motor before I install it. I'm also planning on putting on a new FAST LSR 102mm intake and throttle body. I'm tossing around the idea of getting some head work done while it's there. If I spend more now, I probably will be less inclined to spend it later when it's not fast enough...

I'm hoping with the engine improvements to be around 450hp or so at the crank. I should get before and after the upgrade numbers as I'm going to have them run the motor on the stand to make sure all is good before I spend a bunch of money on it.

More to come as this heats up.

The motor got dropped off at Hutter's this morning.

Hopefully I'll get it back in the next 2-3 weeks. Now I need to get that V6 out once and for all. The supercharger has been rebuilt and should be back here on Monday / Tuesday so I can get that up and available for sale.

Things are happening... albeit slowly.

I spent the afternoon at Hutter's and got to see the start up of the newly modified LS.

Watched several pulls, some crazy numbers, over 507 hp and 455 lbs torque.

Can't wait to see the LS in the S10.

Nice!! I'm wondering how much power will be lost when you
bolt an exhaust system to it.... And your air intake choice is going
to be pretty important, because heavy duty furnace ducting like
Hutter's has might be tough to squeeze into the engine compartment!

How is the transmission and the rest of the drivetrain going to handle all that power?

HP and torque are only issues if you get traction. I think that will be his issue. I think the trans and rearend should be fine.

I have drag radials and I'm planning (eventually) on some Cal-Trac traction devices. I'm honestly thinking my 4.3 with the supercharger is making as much torque down low where things break as this motor. The tranny will hold up for awhile and the rear end should survive a summer or so. The weak link in the rear is the factory locking diff. I think that will break first and promptly be replaced with a good posi and beefier axles.

This is the first time I'm seeing the pictures. It's definitely cool. I'm thinking the power to the wheels will most likely be in the 350-360 range. That being the case, if I can hook it up for a pass or two, should be somewhere in the 12.4 range. I'm guessing the MPH will be pretty sweet too.

I like the furnace ducting. It's BIG! My headers are not nearly as good as theirs either, but it's going to be what it's going to be for a year or so as I'm done spending big money on this project. I have lots of little things I'm sure I'll still need, which is OK.

I can't wait to see the video so I can hear it run! I was actually most excited when I found out the motor baselined OK as I never heard it run and didn't know if I had a skunk or not.

Next on the agenda is to pick up the motor and get the V6 out...
