I am looking to buy a car, and was wondering do laps around the track count as "highway" miles? I don't know enough about cars to get involved in the chumps car event.

Now I understand your question. You are not looking to race ths care, but rather has it been raced. If it ran Chump or LeMons it would have a roll cage. This car has not run on these circuits.

Since the car is a 525, someone apparently felt it necessary to put that on the trunk - probably not a car #. Extended amount of time on the track will be visible somehow - for instance the suspension would likely have replacement parts. If you lack the technical skill/knowledge you want to find someone you trust who can spot those things.

Thanks mostmint. I think it looks stupid with the blue and the 525 on it, and anytime someone does uglifications to a car, it sends up red flags to me. Chris and I have done a lot of looking on craigslist. He doesn't have a lot of time on his hands right now, and doesn't want to buy something that needs a lot of repairs.

When looking for cheap, reliable transporation, look at 10-12 year old Buicks. They can usually be found really cheap, parts are easy to get, generally easy to fix mechanical stuff on, and they're overall decent cars. Just my $.02

It's a possibility. We are keeping our options open, looking all different types of cars.
