74 Plymouth Road Runner

Post by MostMint »

One of my co-workers has a 74 Road Runner. He is the second owner - bought it in 1975 with 19,000 and now it has 24,000 miles. It's dark green and it looks great in the pics he has (from 1991). It has the 360 four barrel, and it has non-functional hood scoops and hood pins.

It's been garaged its whole life, and sitting since 1991. His brother is in the process of getting it road worthy again - cleaning the gas tank, new battery, tires, etc.

Any guesses on what this car is worth?

He is losing storage on it. At first he said he was going to sell but that seems less liekly for the moment. So I guess how much to insure it for is the question.

A lot of restoration type places should be able to offer an appraisal on the car for not much money. Have him call any sort of shop that works on old cars and they can probably recommend an appraiser. Way back when, I had one done at L&N Old Car on Rt 87, but probably too far for your work friend.

I'd guess somewhere in the $8-$9k range, unless it's some sort of show car.
