1975 Pontiac Grandville Convertible

Post by Fred32v »

My friend Allan has this1975 Pontiac Grandville Convertible, about 54,000 miles, 400 cu in engine, has most available options.
This car has not run for 5 years, it ran when he parked in a place that had no easy access so it just sat there.

If anyone has the slightest interest I'll get some pictures.

I knew this was not like Al's 225 Buick.
I asked for some pictures where it sets now.
Here they are.

Pretty thing, really big.

What could it possibly be worth?

My first guess is $10,000 minimum, though it will depend greatly on whether it has rust, whether it runs, and what interior/top are like. I would put the max at $20k.

It is a boat and he will need to find someone who wants to own a boat.

Although a big-ass convertible is cool, I think my boating days are over. And I really don't like that color on that car, but that's just me.

I do like the color, not the same, but it reminds me of my Oldsmobiles.

I'm not allowed to buy it.

Pictures when the car was on the road.
Clicking on the photo makes them larger.

Could be but you might change your mind in a couple of decades. The Maverick was great fun, but the Lincoln was comfortable and fun. 8)

Allan said -
The car has seldom seen rain, never seen snow or salt - bought new,
one of last few built because Milt Miller Pontiac ordered 4 when I bought
and 2 of the 4 were never built for lack of bodies!

VIN is 2R67S5P243544

I got this from and email he sent me.
It was going to be one of the last convertibles built.

Does this increase it's value?

I was on FB Marketplace last night and saw a couple other late 60s-early 70s full size convertibles in the 15k range.

Cool car, too bad I'm out of garage spots!

get it running and drag it to Carlisle for the car corral. Put a $20k number and see what happens.
