What did you use to get the insides of the wheels so nice?

Rubbing compound and then wax.
To remove the rubber and glue where old wheel weights
use to be I very carefully used a putty knife and mineral spirits.

The rubbing compound was GMJohnny's idea. I'm sure any
compound would work, I used Ditzers DRX 16, very aggressive,
then one step cleaner and wax.

I used 409 and ArmorAll on the inner finders after I scrapped
five pounds of rubber from the rear wheel wells.

Now that you have me thinking about this, it occurred to me that I could jack up the back end, reverse the wheels on the hubs, start the engine, put it in gear and spin 'em while I clean the back side. What do you think about that? Seems it would save a lot of elbow grease.

Me thinks the hub might not let you do that,
but you don't want to make the job too easy.
I have about 90 minutes in each corner,
the front wheels were worst,
the rear wheelwells were the worst.

I was intentionally taking my time,
not wanting to kill the job.

OK so this opens up a space in the garage. Can a track day car be far behind? 8)

I have insider info on what is going in the garage slot. Perhaps
32V will shed some light on this. "GTX" is in the model #!!!!
